There are distinctive seasons in the wetlands, the winter being moderate and rainy, and the summer being warm and dry. The mean annual temperature is around 20°C, and average rainfall is 1300 mm.
In the summer, temperatures are high 24 hours a day, with high humidity and scarce rainfall. As the fall draws near, the mean temperature drops and rainfall increases, with pleasant day-time temperatures, and cool nights.
As the winter approaches, the weather turns cold and rainy, with more moderate temperatures at midday. The mean temperature gradually increases as the winter gives way to the spring, which also comes with abundant rainfall, but with more stable temperatures throughout the day.
